Who Are the Closest to Jesus?  (Mark 3:7-34)
Jesus identified His disciples – those willing to follow and learn from Him – as those closest to Him.  They are closer to Him than His natural family members.  This would have been a startling statement for Jesus’ hearers who thought family was the end-all be-all.  Jesus was not demeaning family relations but simply teaching the priority of spiritual over natural relationships.The post Who Are the Closest to Jesus?
