“But the hour is coming, and now is here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23-24
Worship Director – Nicole Ainsworth
At the Oasis we seek to be true worshippers of the Father God. Our purpose in worship is three fold:
We seek to exalt Him and seek His face as we lavish our praise and adoration upon him. Psalm 29:1 -2 “Acknowledge the Lord, you heavenly beings, acknowledge the Lord’s majesty and power! Acknowledge the majesty of the Lord’s reputation! Worship the Lord in holy attire!”
Expression comes out of a heart overflowing with love and praise. We long to express to the Lord our heart of praise, adoration, gratitude, love , and devotion. Psalm 30:12 “So now my heart will sing to you and not be silent; O LORD my God, I will always give thanks to you.”
Psalm 27:8-9 “You have said, ‘ Seek my face.’ My heart says to you, ‘Your face, Lord, do I seek.'” As we worship the Lord we encounter Him through the Holy Spirit. Each and every time we worship we will pursue Him in and through our worship. We come with expectant hearts that we will encounter Him because the Lord inhabits the praise of His people. Psalm 22:3 ” But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of Israel.” The Lord God, our Father, inhabits our praise and we encounter Him through worship.
WE NEED YOU!
